The City of Tybee Island is now accepting applications for the position of a Community Development Authority Main Street Coordinator.
Description of Duties:
The Community Development DA Main Street Coordinator manages and coordinates activities within the revitalization / downtown development based program which utilizes historic preservation as an integral foundation for economic development. He or She is responsible for the collaborative planning, development, execution and documentation of the Development Authority / Main Street Program. The coordinator is the principal on-site person responsible for coordinating the Main Street Four-Point Approach locally, representing collaborative efforts to improve, preserve and enhance the quality of life, and promoting overall appearance improvements as it pertains to the program.

The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority is accepting applications for an Executive Director. The primary responsibility of the Executive Director to the HDDA is to manage the development, execution, implementation, conceptual planning, and documentation of the Downtown Development Authority activities in the City of Hinesville, Georgia.
Knowledge of the concepts, guiding principles, and techniques of downtown development, planning, historic preservation, and economic and social trends is required. The ability to work well with a diverse group of people with excellent oral and written communication along with the ability to be energetic, creative, well-organized and capable of functioning effectively in an independent and multi-tasking situation is also required. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications, planning, or public administration is required along with three to five years of related experience in planning, public administration, historic preservation, or a related field is required.
